Evolera gives you a work number for calls and texts with your clients. When you can’t answer, it plays a greeting you write, can take a voicemail, and can send the caller a text you wrote. That means we process phone numbers, message content, files your clients send, and — if you turn voicemail on — recordings of callers’ voicemail messages. This page explains, plainly, where that data goes, how long we keep it, and what control you have.

1. What we process

Account
Your email address. If you later sign in with Apple, the identifier and email Apple provides.
Work number
The phone number we provision for you and its usage records.
Calls
Both numbers, time, duration and outcome. Calls are not recorded.
Voicemail
Only if you turn voicemail on (it is off by default). After your greeting the caller hears “please leave a message after the tone” and a beep; what they say, up to two minutes, is recorded. The recording is stored in our Canadian storage and the phone provider’s copy is then deleted.
Automatic replies
When you miss a call, your work number can text the caller a message you write (on by default; you can edit it or turn it off). It is sent at most once a day to the same number, ends with “Reply STOP to opt out”, and is kept in that client’s thread.
Messages
Text messages sent and received, delivery status, and photos and documents your clients send. Files are stored in our Canadian storage; we then delete the carrier’s copy.
Client records
The numbers that call or text you, and contact details you enter. Calls and texts from hidden numbers or short codes are kept in a separate thread.
Answering settings
Your greetings, whether voicemail is on, your automatic reply text, and the phone number where you want missed-call alerts.
Technical logs
Errors, performance and usage, for troubleshooting and billing. Logs do not contain message or call content.

2. Third parties your data passes through

Delivering phone and messaging features requires the providers below. We list what each one handles and where it operates.

Twilio
United States. Phone lines and text messaging: call audio, both numbers, message content and attachments in transit; voicemail recordings until we copy them to Canada. Twilio reads your greeting aloud using Amazon Polly and Google voices, which receive the greeting text you wrote.
LiveKit
United States. Real-time audio routing for calls you place from the app: call audio.
Supabase
Database, sign-in and file storage, hosted in a Canadian region.
Vercel
Our application servers, running in Canada (Montreal): requests from the app and from our phone and messaging providers pass through them.
Resend
United States. Sends sign-in code emails: your email address.
Meta (WhatsApp)
Only if you connect WhatsApp (not yet available). WhatsApp messages, files and calls between you and your clients pass through Meta’s WhatsApp Business Platform.
Apple
App distribution and, when enabled, push notifications (we do not put message content in notifications).
Sentry
United States. Error reports from the app and our servers, so we can fix problems: technical details of the error. Phone numbers, message and call content are removed before a report is sent.
Cloudflare
Our domains and the forwarding of email you send to our addresses.

No AI service processes your calls or messages today. Before we add AI features (such as voicemail transcription or suggested replies), we will update this list and tell you in the app.

About cross-border processing

Our database, file storage and application servers are in Canada, but phone and messaging are carried by providers in the United States. That data leaves the country and may be subject to the laws of the jurisdiction where it is processed. We will not claim that all processing stays in Canada, because it does not.

3. Missed calls, voicemail and automatic replies

4. Retention and deletion

5. Your rights under PIPEDA

Under Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act, you may request access to the personal information we hold about you, ask us to correct or delete it, and withdraw consent you previously gave.

If one of your own clients makes such a request about their information, email us and we will help you act on it; tools for this in the app are coming.

Send requests to privacy@evolera.ai. We respond within 30 days.

6. What we don’t do

7. Changes

If we make a material change to this policy we will tell you in the app and update the date at the top of this page.
