Common questions
Do I have to change my phone number?
No. You can give out the work number we provide, or keep your existing number and forward calls to us through your carrier. Both work.
If I forward my calls, do my texts come across too?
No. Call forwarding moves voice calls only. Texts sent to your original number still arrive on your own phone and do not enter Evolera. Messaging in the app uses the work number we provide.
Does my client need to install anything?
No. They place an ordinary call and send ordinary texts.
Will the assistant pretend to be me?
No. When it answers, it states that it is an AI assistant, and it answers honestly if asked. This cannot be turned off.
Are calls recorded?
Recording is not on by default — it’s your choice in the app. Call metadata and transcripts are kept so we can produce summaries and history. If you enable recording, you are responsible for meeting the notice requirements that apply where you are.
Where is my data stored?
Our database and file storage are in Canada. Speech recognition, speech synthesis and the AI conversation are handled by providers in the United States, so that data leaves the country. See the Privacy Policy for the full list.
How do I delete my data?
In the app you can delete a single item, a whole conversation, or your entire account; deletion also clears the associated recordings, transcripts, summaries and indexes. You can also email privacy@evolera.ai and we’ll handle it within 30 days.
What languages does it support?
The app interface is in English, with Chinese available. For the assistant itself, English and Mandarin are working today; Cantonese is still being evaluated and we won’t claim support until it meets a usable standard.
